**Kids Wheel Throwing Workshop | Ages 10+**
Join us for a 4-day kids wheel throwing workshop, designed for children aged 10 and above, taking place on 8/27, 9/3, 9/10, and 9/17. This workshop will introduce kids to the art of wheel throwing, teaching them essential skills on the wheel, including centering, opening, and pulling walls. Over the span of four weeks, instructor Lindsey will guide students through various techniques, including trimming and glazing, allowing them to create and finish approximately 3-6 pieces.
Each class meets for 2 hours and covers:
– **Class 1:** Introduction to basic skills such as centering and wall pulling.
– **Class 2:** Continued exploration of centering and advancing wall techniques.
– **Class 3:** Trimming pieces and surface design.
– **Class 4:** Painting, carving, and attaching handles.
All necessary materials, including clay, underglaze/paint, glaze, and firing, are provided. Participants’ finished pieces will be available for pick-up within 4-6 weeks after the last class, and notifications will be sent when they are ready. Please note that we require a minimum of three participants to hold the workshop, and missed classes cannot be accommodated or reimbursed.
